The Palmdale High School Security Department is proud to serve you and your student as we help to transfer the 9th grade child into an adult productive member of society upon graduation. Our goal is to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for students, staff and guests on campus. We believe that all children have the ability to learn inside and outside the classroom from experiences that build character and foster success through inner discipline.
I am the Director of Security at Palmdale High School. I have been the Director of Security at PHS for 2 years and 8 years at Littlerock High School. I have Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and am near completion of a Master's Degree in Education. I possess a California Administrative Tier I credential, two teaching credentials in vocational education; in Law Enforcement and Computer Applications. I posses a Peace Officer's Standard & Training (P.O.S.T.) certificate and have attended numerous classes and training sessions regarding gangs, graffiti, narcotics, At-risk youth, search and seizure, juvenile crimes, and juvenile criminal procedures.
In 1982, I graduated from Quartz Hill High School and then traveled the world with the U.S. Navy. I then found myself back in the Antelope Valley working in the local aerospace industry with Rockwell International and the Boeing Company before finding my true calling in Education. I found that working with students was benefiting society and the students by helping them in the pursuit of a successful educational experience during their high school years. I take great pleasure during graduation ceremonies when Palmdale High's Finest walk across the stage with a diploma in hand.
