Small Learning Communities

What can Small Learning Communities do for your child?

Your child will benefit from taking courses with students who have similar interests. As part of an SLC, they can expect to have their attendance and grades closely monitored. Research shows that small learning communities are safer and more productive because students feel more nurtured and more connected to caring adults. In addition, teachers get to know and support their students more effectively.

What are the benefits of an SLC?

>  Increased school spirit

>  Increased opportunities to participate in school activities

>  Effective counseling services

>  Decrease in student misbehavior

>  Effective preparation for college

>  Increased opportunities to take vocational courses
