Peer Helpers

Peer helping has a simple goal: students learn to help others students through building relationships. Peer helpers learn about self-esteem; leadership; specific listening/communication techniques; and conflict resolution. After this training, helpers take students out of class to a place on campus to assist them in the areas academic problems, attendance problems, personal problems, conflicts, or other issues. Teachers, students, security, and counselors refer students to peer helping or peer mediation as needed. Peer helpers also assist counselors in guiding new students around campus.

If you or someone you know could use our assistance, stop by room 125 any time to speak with Ms. Dondero or during 3rd period to talk with one of our helpers.
