A Message from Principal Nehen

Hello Falcons. 

Welcome to the start of the 2011-2012 school year! The first day of school, August 8th is coming upon us quickly and all of us at PHS are very excited about the upcoming year.

The goal of everyone at PHS is to create a safe and supportive learning environment where teachers can teach students the necessary skills to be successful in the 21st century and students can be free to learn, explore and grow into responsible adults during their four years here. As partners in this endeavor, we want you, parents/guardians and students to stay informed about class assignments, homework, grades and attendance. In addition to phone calls, progress reports, meetings, etc., the PowerSchool Parent Portal at https://powerschool.avhsd.org/ students allows for easy access to student progress. Parent log-in and passwords will be distributed shortly after school begins. General school information is available on the PHS web site.

The entire PHS staff looks forward to an exciting first day and commits to helping each and every student achieve their greatest potential.
