> The Palmdale Relay For Life is only two weeks away and we need to get PHS walkers and raise money.

Ben and Stacy Jefferson are also on the Relay for Committee and are recruiting Survivors and People to Fight Back against Cancer.

You can either donate money to any of these teams or start a staff team. All money raised will show the support of Palmdale High School. All the teams have luminaries for sale. The Health Careers Academy have Stars and Moons that you can have your name and the amount donated written on and display here at school and at Relay.

So let's go PHS and show the community how we make a difference everyday in other's lives.......Every little bit helps.....

> Do you have any musical talents and are waiting to be discovered? Do you think you are good enough to open for a celebrity artist? If you think you do, Highland High School̓'s ROP Business Apprentice Management Class will be holding auditions for their 3rd annual Dollars for Scholars Benefit Concert. Auditions will be on October 23rd at Highland in the theater. So contact us for a registration form to sign up to perform. Registration fee is $5 per artist. If you want more information, go to the activities office and grab a registration form or call 661-538-0304 x246.

California Lutheran University will be on campus Thursday, October 2nd from 10:30-11:30 AM in the career center. Please see Ms. Berg for a pass if you are interested in speaking with the representative.

Career Center: Students are encouraged to use the computers for anything related to jobs and school, such as creating resumes, job searches, applying for scholarships or to college, and filling out the FAFSA. Hours will be before & after school, during breaks and lunches.

Sports Physicals will be held here on campus on Wednesday, October 22nd from 12:30pm to 2:00pm in the Boys Training Room. Cost of the physical is $20.00 CASH ONLY! Please stop by the Athletic's Office to pick up the required paperwork needed to get your physical. Remember - you must have a current physical to participate in Sports at PHS.

Football Booster Meetings are held every Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm in room 805.

If you are a video gamer, musician or just enjoy technology. Join FalconTech's video game club night, every week, every Friday from after school until 5:00pm. The charge as part of our fundraiser is just $1, which will allow us to purchase more games and consoles.

PHS does not deliver or allow anyone else to deliver items to students. This includes (but is not limited to) lunch, money, athletic equipment, sweaters/jackets and homework. Items will not be “held” in the office and classrooms will not be interrupted with phone calls or deliveries. Do not call home to ask parents to bring items to school.

Attendance: Students that need to leave early must bring a note to the attendance office before school.

Absences must be cleared within 5 days of the absence by the student’s parent/guardian.

Skateboards on campus are a privilege. All skateboards will be confiscated if they are ridden before, during or after-school on campus. This includes the parking areas, driveways, PE area and athletic fields. All skateboards will be banned from campus if this policy is not followed.

iPod's, cell phones, etc….These items are very similar and without a serial number are hard to distinguish who owns what. They are also very costly! Security will no longer hand out high dollar items without proof of ownership (serial number) if a name is not attached to the item.

PHS ID Cards must be displayed at all times on campus and at after school events. ID’s must be displayed on a “Green PHS Lanyard” or metal clip. Lanyards are available at the student store for $2.00 and clips are .25¢. Replacement ID’s may be purchased at the student store for $5.00.
